The truth is, once we pack up our gear, we’re only halfway through the journey. The second half is where the magic happens: the editing process.

Here’s a look at what goes on behind the scenes after your session with us:

1. We Back Everything Up Immediately

Before we touch a single pixel, we make multiple backups of your images.

Your memories are too important to risk—we store your files safely in several places to protect against any kind of data loss.

2. We Curate the Best Images

We sort through every single shot to find the absolute best ones. This isn’t just about picking the prettiest—it’s about choosing images that tell your story with emotion, connection, and beauty. We remove duplicates, near-blinks, or awkward expressions (because let’s be honest, we all have a few).

3. We Hand-Edit Each Selected Image

We don’t slap on a filter and call it a day. Every final image is carefully adjusted for:

• - Lighting and exposure

• - Color balance and tone

• - Cropping and composition

• - Subtle skin smoothing or blemish removal (as needed)

• We aim for a natural, polished look that reflects your best self—not an overly airbrushed version of reality.

4. We Pay Attention to the Details

Stray hairs? Distracting background objects? Wrinkles in a shirt? We’ll take care of it. We want you to focus on the moment, not the minor distractions. If you mentioned anything ahead of time—like a preferred side or a request to tone down a scar—we keep that in mind during the editing process.

5. We Deliver a Thoughtfully Curated Gallery

Once editing is complete, we’ll upload your images to a private online gallery and send you an email with viewing instructions. You’ll be able to browse, share, and download your photos, and of course, order beautiful prints and wall art directly from the gallery if you’d like.

How Long Does It Take?

We know you’re excited to see your photos! Our typical turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks, but we’ll give you an exact estimate at your session. (And if we can finish them sooner, we absolutely will).
