Hi, I’m John — a Roswell/East Cobb photographer who believes great photos should feel authentic, meaningful, and fun.

I create portraits for high school seniors and families — and I have a particular soft spot for seniors who've grown up in band, drumline, and color guard. After years as a band dad myself, I know that world well, and I love capturing the people in it.

After a long career in technology & software engineering, I shifted into photography full-time, blending storytelling, creativity, and technical precision. Whether it’s a senior ready for their next chapter, a family celebrating a milestone, or a performer in their element, my goal is simple: portraits you’ll be proud to share and grateful to keep for decades.

But my work doesn’t stop with people.

I also photograph places — beaches at sunset, mountain overlooks, quiet forests, cities with character — and pair them with short stories about the history, design, and little surprises behind each location.

Many of these images become fine-art prints in my online shop as part of Story Behind The Place, my ongoing storytelling and photography series about the beauty and meaning of the places I visit.

And yes, I unapologetically love dad jokes. If we work together, you’ll hear at least one. The groan is optional.
